Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Old-Fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup Raisins

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in oats and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, blend softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing fully, and scrape the bowl sides as needed.
  3. Incorporate the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until combined, then fold in the raisins.
  4. Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, ensuring space for spreading.
  7. Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
Feel free to add nuts or chocolate chips for a variation.
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
