Instructions
- Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar on high speed for 3 minutes until creamy.
- Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract; beat until combined.
- Mix in dry ingredients on low speed until dough forms.
- Divide dough in half and roll each half to 1/4-inch thickness between parchment paper.
- Stack the rolled sheets and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut shapes and place 3 inches apart on lined baking sheets.
- Bake for 11-12 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool completely before decorating.
